Wedding Celebrations

This Sunday, July 3rd Buck and Nellie will be celebrating their 70th anniversary a bit early. Actually, their anniversary is in the Fall. However, their family has vacation now and will be in town to celebrate. There will be a short "renewal of wedding vows" during the 10am service. Their son, Jim Harrison (a priest) will be the guest celebrant and officiant of their vows. Kay will be the preacher. Please bring a celebration card.

On Sunday July 10th we will be having a SURPRISE Wedding Shower for Kevin Jacque during coffee hour. Tracy Gibbs hopes to decorate by using framed wedding pictures of many of us, so bring your wedding picture this Sunday or next. We will not be providing a parish present, so cards with or without money are appropriate. Also, Kevin will be playing a short recital after our 10am service.

Also, remember this Sunday is a Pot Luck.

Why old announcements are still here

While I do delete old announcements that might cause confusion , I tend to leave most of the old announcements in place. I've got two reasons for doing so:

1. When a visitor comes to our website, I want send the message that we actually are doing things. We have a lot more going than a single one-hour Sunday morning service.
2. Looking back over the months, it's fun to see where we have been. Yes, we did a Lenten study series. There was a mid-day Bible study group. (By the way, it's stopped for the summer, but will resume in the fall.) 

I do, however, take off old calendar events when it would be confusing to leave them.

Martha Unger Memorial Service

The memorial service for Martha Unger will be April 2nd, at 3pm (reception beforehand, details tbd), Trinity Episcopal Church, Alliance, OH.

New Pictures for Bulletin Board

The pictures on the church bulletin board are now quite old, so it's time for an update. Beginning Sunday, January 24, we will be taking pictures, so remember what your mama used to say before class pictures, and show up with your hair combed and your face washed.

Tyler Phillips Baptism

Tyler Phillips, son of Tom and Melissa Phillips, will be baptized during the 10 a.m. worship service on January 24.
